AIA Continuing Education

Development • Registration • Presentation

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) requires its Architect members to attain 18 hours of continuing education annually. (8 hours must be related to topics addressing Health, Safety and Welfare; 4 of those 8 hours must address Sustainable Design.) Additionally, architectural boards in 40 states require mandatory continuing education (MCE) for re-licensure. Many states with MCE requirements allow AIA members to present their AIA Continuing Education Systems (CES) transcripts to licensing boards to satisfy the state requirements.

The AIA allows manufacturers to provide professional continuing education by becoming an AIA/CES Registered Provider. As a Registered Provider, a manufacturer gains significant exposure to AIA members and other design professionals. The lunch time presentation, the typical venue for delivering a presentation, provides an incredible opportunity to meet with the key personnel in an architect’s office, cultivating helpful contacts for future projects.

Howard can assist a manufacturer with the AIA/CES Registered Provider application process and the development of an AIA/CES compliant PowerPoint presentation. He can train a manufacturer’s employees in the delivery of the program or conduct the presentation on the manufacturer’s behalf. Howard has produced numerous presentations and has delivered hundreds of programs to architects, landscape architects, interior designers and engineers. Always delivered with energy, clarity and professionalism, Howard will impart to the design professionals the quality of your products, company and people.
